Workflow starter brief

Turn Stripe payments into QuickBooks sales receipts

Creates a QuickBooks sales receipt for each successful Stripe charge, finding or creating the customer, and never records the same charge twice. After publishing, you add a Stripe webhook endpoint and paste its signing secret into Whenever.

Proposed workflow

A starting brief, not a preconfigured workflow or proof of a completed outcome. Review the generated steps and test with your accounts before publishing.

When

Each charge.succeeded event Stripe posts to the signed Stripe webhook.

Then

  1. Skip test-mode charges; stop if neither the billing email nor the Stripe customer's email exists.
  2. Skip it if a QuickBooks sales receipt's document number equals the charge id's last 21 characters.
  3. Find the QuickBooks customer by that email, or create one.
  4. Create a sales receipt for the amount in major units, dated the charge date, on the product or service id from setup, with that document number.

Before you publish

Connect the accounts and credentials it needs first. Optional AI steps use AI at runtime and their output can vary, so review the workflow and test it before publishing.
