Describe what should happen in RocketReach, and when, in plain words. Whenever builds the workflow and runs it on a schedule, on a webhook, or when another app sends an event.

Connect Claude, Cursor or Codex to the Whenever MCP server and your coding agent can build and deploy the RocketReach workflow. It runs on Whenever afterwards, on its schedule or webhook, with the chat closed.
Set up the Whenever MCP serverRocketReach is used to answer one question at scale: how do I contact this person at this company? Its API has two different kinds of call, and confusing them is the most expensive mistake in a RocketReach automation. Search returns matching profiles from criteria such as name, title, company or location, and does not reveal contact details. Lookup takes a specific person, by name and employer, a LinkedIn URL or a RocketReach profile ID, and returns their emails and phone numbers. Lookups are what consume your export credits, so a workflow should search or filter first and look up only the people you actually intend to contact.
Each lookup result carries more than an address. Emails come with a type (professional or personal) and a grade that RocketReach uses to describe expected deliverability, and the docs also describe a separate email verification endpoint. A good brief decides up front which grades are acceptable, whether personal addresses should be used at all, and what happens to a contact who only has a low-grade guess. Recording the RocketReach profile ID with the CRM record avoids paying for the same person twice the next time a list is enriched.
Rate limits depend on your plan and are published per call type: per minute, hour, day and month, plus a global ceiling of ten requests per second across all APIs. Throttled calls get a 429 response with a Retry-After header, and a workflow should wait as instructed rather than retrying immediately. RocketReach also documents a webhook for lookups whose results are not ready at once, which avoids repeatedly checking status. For long lists, the bulk lookup endpoint and its own lower job limits are the documented route.
Whenever calls the RocketReach API with your key. Contact data is personal data; the decision about whether and how to email someone stays with you and the rules that apply where they live.
Authored starter briefs to configure with your accounts, not preconfigured workflows.
Look up only leads missing an email, keep only professional addresses with a high grade, and save the profile ID.
Search by title at each account first, then let a person choose whom to spend credits on.
The second half of the search-then-lookup pattern: credits are spent only on people a person approved.
RocketReach separates search, which finds matching profiles, from lookup, which returns contact details. Its docs state that lookups consume export credits; check your plan's credit terms for any other charges.
They vary by plan and by call type, with per-minute, hourly, daily and monthly caps, and a global limit of 10 requests per second. A 429 response includes a Retry-After header to wait on.
RocketReach attaches a grade to returned emails to indicate expected deliverability. Choose a minimum grade in the workflow rather than sending to every address returned.
RocketReach's rate-limit guide tells users not on a paid plan to upgrade and contact its API team to set up an API plan, so plan on a paid subscription for production use.
Some lookups do not complete immediately. RocketReach documents a webhook to deliver the result when ready, or the workflow can check the lookup status later.
